Vishal Namkeen Bhandar was established in 1962 by Late Shri Dau Lal Ji Agarwal along with his wife Chanda Devi Agarwal. Chanda Devi was fond of making papad for her family and friends, and slowly but surely the word of her delicious papad spread around. Her husband, who shared similar thoughts decided to extend the unit as they were encouraged by one and all to start a business for what they loved doing. In 1970 the first employee of the company, Prem Singh, joined Shri Dau Lal Ji and together they produced 100 kgs of papad everyday along with 20 people employed for rolling.
Prem Singh is still with the company providing his valuable inputs and services. What started as a small home business has now grown considerably producing and providing a wide variety of scrumptious snacks. In 2005 Vishal Namkeen Bhandar was handed over to Dau Lal Ji’s son Jai Agarwal who is currently managing and developing the business with his wife Premlata. Over the last 10 years Vishal Namkeen Bhandar has developed many different varieties of papad and is constantly innovating and in the process of developing new flavours. With nearly 2000 people employed for rolling, currently 5000 kgs of papad are produced everyday.
